Memory (12/11/23)

Image
Memory     I LOVED this movie! It was a movie about a hitman hired to kill targets that goes rouge. There was so much action in this movie with well choreographed fight scenes. Most assassin movies I have watched didn't have that many assassinations. I recall it being 1-3 at most. However, this movie had so many that I don't remember how many there were. The assassinations were also ICE COLD! Martin Campbell did a fantastic job with setting the mood of the killings. My favorite one was when the guy was killed on the treadmill. Alex pulled up in a car, walked towards the glass, shot him, and then drove off. It was night out which meant that it was dark and it was also raining. This made a perfect scene since Alex had his hood up walking with his head down. The movie was also mostly realistic too in terms of the action sequences which is always nice. Other movies have people surviving 20 gunshots or fighting 30 people at once. This has became my new favorite movie and it ...

The Foreigner (12/4/23)

The Foreigner     I will be honest I'm not sure what to think of this movie. I like the concept of the movie about revenge but I wish the movie was a little more fast paced. It seemed very repetitive with constant phone calls requesting the names of the bombers. The movie was a lot more of talking and plot development than actual action which I wasn't a huge fan of. If you compare it to some other movies like the Jason Bourne movies, there is a noticeable difference between them in my opinion in the topic of fast the movie progressed. I would probably not watch this movie again but I would recommend to watch it once.

Casino Royale (11/27/23)

Casino Royale I really enjoyed this movie. I am huge on the action and spy movies. I think that this is the best of the Bond movies. I enjoyed this movie not just because of the action, but also because of the gambling. I used to love playing poker online and even took a masterclass on it a while back from on of the top players in the world. It was fun to watch the cards being flipped and the amount of suspense there is on the hand where Bond and Le Chiffre were all in. I would rank this movie in my top 10 of all time.

Extraction (11/20/23)

Image
Extraction     I loved this movie. I enjoy watching modern combat movies that have constant action. I will say that this movie was very very far on the unrealistic side. Tyler was practically fighting an army by himself and seemed never to get hit or injured. I did like that the producers tried to balance it out a little bit by having him get shot in the neck at the end and "die" but there is still a massive imbalance in how realistic the movie was. Regardless of how realistic it was, it was still very entertaining to watch. The movie was a lot more violent and gruesome than movies like Mission Impossible or the James Bond movies. This movie has became my new favorite movie and I'm excited to watch Extraction 2.

Suspicion

Image
Suspicion      I personally despised this film. The film is about a woman named Lina who marries a man named Johnnie and she later has a fear that he is going to kill her for her money. I didn't like this film because older movies have slow plot development and they are not filled with constant action like modern movies are. These kind of movies do not appeal to what I like to watch. The ending was such a let down too which made me 100% sure that I did not enjoy the movie. The movie was also in black and white which makes me want to scream. I would not recommend this movie to a peer of mine to watch for entertainment.

Need for Speed

Image
Need  for Speed     Need for Speed, starring Aaron Paul, is a car enthusiast movie with tons of street racing and running from the police. I liked this movie a lot and would have to put it in my top five of all time. I am a huge car enthusiast so this movie was appealing to me. This car movie is especially different from the others because it is not generic like Fast and Furious where there are just guns, explosion, and non stop action. Need for Speed is purely racing. Aside from the exotic hyper cars they obtained for their movies, I also thought the camera work during the racing scenes were shot very well. There were several angles that were used and I loved the angle that was at eye level with the car. This movie was fabulous and I am excited to watch the second one.

The Babysitter

Image
The Babysitter     A babysitter and a boy who have known each other for a while have an unexpected turn of events that turns into a real life nightmare. Bee, played by Samara Weaving babysits Cole, played by Judah Lewis and they have a great time like they always do. This time was different. Bee is part of a satanic cult and was using Cole to complete the ritual. It is all up to Cole to defend himself and survive until his parents return home. I enjoyed this movie a lot for a few reasons. I thought that the basic plot of the movie was really good. The Babysitter was a very bloody film but it was also hilarious. I personally liked Max, the high school football quarterback. This movie is great for people who do not enjoy watching scary, demented horror movies but want to watch something that is a little more gruesome than normal action movies. I would definitely watch this movie again and I would recommend it to others.
