Revenge of the Sith (1/22/24)

 Revenge of the Sith

Revenge of the Sith is often called the greatest of the Star Wars movies and I agree. I first watched this movie when I was around twelve and I loved it because of the duels and constant action. I have watched this movie several times and every time I watch it again as I get older and more knowledgeable, I get a deeper understanding of the plot, politics, and deep emotions that are in this movie. When you watch this movie, you can see how many themes and ideas are similar to today. Betrayal and corruption are big themes in this movie. This movie can also resemble life for some people. Losing loved ones, being betrayed by trusted peers, and manipulation by mentors are common in this film and it shows how these things can destroy someone's life. Anakin's corruption by Chancellor Palpatine is a great example of this. Due to Palpatine corrupting Anakin, he caused Obi Wan to lose his apprentice who he loved like a brother (Anakin), and many good friends (Jedi Order, Senate, Clone Commanders). While this is in my opinion the most action packed film of the franchise, it is also the most relevant to modern times. This movie is a must watch for everyone.
