Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (5/13/24)

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish     I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. When I was younger, I loved the original puss in boots movie. I watched is so many times. I saw the trailer for this movie in a theater a while back and wasn't very interested in watching it since I was a lot older. I recently found it on my recommended page on Netflix and decided to give it a shot. I just want to say that this movie brought back so many childhood memories. The plot of the movie was amazing and the action was great. I loved Death's character especially his theme song. The idea that Puss's time is constantly running out and Death is always waiting was such a creative idea. I would highly recommend this movie to people regardless if you think you are too old to watch movies made for kids. Some of them are still very entertaining. I wish I watched this in theaters when it was out.

Happy Gilmore (5/6/24)

Happy Gilmore     Happy Gilmore has to be one of the best comedy movies in existence. The storyline of hockey player to golfer was amazing. As funny as the movie was, it also has great messages. The theme of constant failure and the need to adapt and find another solution should be a message everyone takes away from the movie. Happy failed to make the hockey team several years in a row but his powerful shot allowed him to get an amazing career in golf. The movie is a great example about how failure opens up other doors and allows you to learn from your mistakes.     I also find this movie relatable since I play both sports. When Happy starts swearing like a sailor missing the ball, I think about how similar we are. We hit a bad shot and start having a rampage on the course. Happy's attitude due to his hockey career is also very accurate. I have had teammates who get into nonstop fights every single game and get ejected. The movie did a fabulous job with Happy's character and

The Accountant (4/29/24)

The Accountant     Honestly, this movie was not as good as I thought it would be. It was kind of boring. The movie was about an accountant who makes money from criminal organizations who is also a trained killer. The only thing I really liked about this movie is the sequencing of events. I like how the movie starts with an intense scene that is from another characters memory. It is one of the movies where we know the background and it goes further into detail as the story progresses. I also thought this movie was hard to follow. I don't know if it was just me but it seemed like it constantly flipped what was happening and many of the dialogue scenes seemed like it was trying to pass time and it was completely useless. I was super excited to watch and now I am kind of sad that it wasn't that good. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone nor would I watch it again.

Sniper: Assassin's End (4/22/24)

Sniper: Assassin's End      This movie was great. I already know many people are going to say,"It's just like every other action movie." My response is that I do not care. This movie was especially nice because it was short and it was quick to the point. The movie was not dragged out over two and a half hours. This movie was ninety minutes and it was mostly action. I think that a movie that doesn't drag the plot out is a movie that should be worth watching. I also liked the plot of the movie. It was kind of like a detective movie but not quite. The basic plot of the movie is Beckett is framed for the assassination of a high ranking official. He works with his dad to uncover the real shooter, take down the person who hired them, and clear his name. The ending was interesting. We are left with a cliffhanger. The sniper was being interrogated when the interrogator starts talking in Japanese similar to the guy on the phone. This ends with the killer gaining a smirk

Bodies Bodies Bodies (4/15/24)

Bodies Bodies Bodies This movie was not as good as I was expecting. I heard that it was a murder mystery type movie so I decided to watch it. The actual mystery didn't even start until like 30 minutes in. It was slow and seemed slightly unnecessary. The actual suspense of who the killer was in this movie was excellent. The thing I didn't like was how we didn't really see any of the deaths besides when one girl was shot while wrestling for a gun. Another thing that I didn't like is how you are invested in the movie trying to find the killer and then there is no killer. I feel like this is the more teen relevant version of Knives Out. No one actually killed anyone and the first kill was the person killing themself. I most likely won't watch this movie again and I probably wouldn't recommend it to others.

Sniper: Ghost Shooter (4/8/24)

Ghost Shooter     This movie was great. Sniper movies are my favorite movies to watch. This movie was full of action and it has more of a plot than just taking out the bad guys. The movie revolves around two plots. One plot was to take out the terrorists and the second which is sort of a side plot was to find out how the terrorist sniper hit the impossible shot. I think that the idea of the impossible shot really adds to the movie because it provides a mystery feeling to the film. I also like that this film was very two sided during the action instead of good guys always winning. Several good snipers and troops were shot and killed along with terrorists. I think there needs to be a balance between evil and good winning.     I recommended this to my friend to watch and he shares my opinion that it was a fantastic movie. I don't think this is the first movie in the Sniper series but I am excited to watch the other movies.

The Mighty Ducks (3/25/24)

The Mighty Ducks          This movie is awesome and I wanted to revisit some good memories. The Mighty Ducks was the movie series that got me into hockey. I didn't start playing until I was in 10th grade. I also love this movie because I can relate to it. During my first year, our team was not very good (7-29) and we quite literally were the Mighty Ducks. We had some new players on our team and most of our games were blowouts. We lost by an average of eight goals and sometimes by over sixteen. I can relate specifically to Fulton Reed. Fulton is on the left. He is a big guy who is a new player. He can not skate and he had to learn but he has a rocket of a shot.     There are two more of these movies and during those, the Ducks are much better but they play under the U.S national team and then a high school team. My team this year was much better. We only got blown out once and we won a lot more games than last year (15-20).     I love and will forever love this movie for giving me
